The transformer is used on the shore. Together with the phase-shifting rectifier transformer, the isolation transformer constitutes the entire power supply system for shore power.

The transformer body requires three-proofing treatment. All fasteners are made of stainless steel or undergo Dacromet treatment; the coils are dipped in varnish three times; after conventional painting, the iron core surface is coated with an additional layer of three-proofing paint; the copper busbar surface is plated with a 16μm coating; and the cut edges of insulation parts are brushed with three-proofing paint.

It features high insulation level, low partial discharge, and a long service life.
